Constantly pulling you back to the close-to-poverty living space of Eddie Dupris (Morgan Freeman), the emphasis that comes in the pay off of this rags to riches story is phenomenal. The emotional attachment drawn from the brilliant performances of Eastwood, the reluctant trainer, and Swank, a driven female boxer, are something to behold in this film that holds determination in its core.
